Samsung has announced that it has sold ten million units of its flagship Android smartphone Galaxy S II globally. This announcement comes just days after the report of Galaxy S II sales crossing 3.5 million in company’s home country South Korea alone.
At the times of Samsung Galaxy S II launch release in April, company has kept a target to sell 10 million units and has achieved it just five months.
“In just five months the Galaxy S II has seen tremendous growth, reflecting strong support from carrier partners,” JK Shin, the head of the firm’s mobile device unit, said in a statement.
Region-wise sales:
- Korea- 3.6 million
- Europe – 3.4 million
- Asia – 2.3 million
As Galaxy S II has just went on sale in United States, its numbers are not included.
Now that’s what we called huge sales!
