AT&T has announced that its variant of Samsung Galaxy S II will be available in the market starting October 2. It will be sold for $199.99 with the two year contract and eligible upgrade, if you don’t like contracts – no commitment price is $549.99. The supporting data plans start $15.

On the other hand, Samsung has released the kernel source code for still unreleased AT&T Galaxy S II. You can find the code here.

To remind you, AT&T Galaxy S II features a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus display, dual core processor, 8MP rear camera with 2MP front facing one and 1080p video recording support. There is no NFC hardware in the AT&T variant.
