HTC working on Android phone with Intel chip for CES launch

Advertisements

We have already reported that the first Android smartphone with Intel processor will be launching in the 1H of next year, but some rumors are suggesting that we might see it as early as CES, with availability in later months.

It is also being reported that it might have manufactured by HTC, as an alleged prototype made by the company was circulating show floor at Intel Developer forum.

We are taking this with a pinch of salt as these are all just rumors and we are yet to see any official or visual evidence starting the same, however it would be interesting to see HTC manufacture an Intel powered device, considering company’s close proximity with Qualcomm – a rival chip maker.

CES or Consumer Electronics Show 2012 is scheduled from January 10-13.
