I dont think its a better deal than having pre-ordered. Because with the pre-order you got around 7k extra stuff including a bookcover which you cannot do without. Hence i would say a savings of 1200 isnt any deal at all. Maybe better for someone now to buy it directly from retail..i am sure they would get a more competive price… Like with all gadgets..better to pre-book, when you get a great deal or just wait for it to come into the market….buying in between these two stages is money lost!
