Acer Iconia Tab A100 now available in US for $330

Acer has finally announced the availability of much delayed Iconia Tab A100 in US. This seven inch tablet is now being sold at national retail stores starting from USD329.99.

Prices:

  • Acer Iconia Tab A100-07u16u 16GB – $349.99
  • Acer Iconia Tab A100-07u08u8GB – $329.99

Acer Iconia Tab A100 had been delayed due to the lack of optimization for 7 inch displays in Honeycomb, but is finally available with Android 3.2, which supports 7 inch screens.

Other features of the tablet include nVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 1GB RAM, and WiFi.

“The Acer Iconia™ Tab A100 tablet delivers the ultimate combination of portability and performance for fun and gaming as well as staying in touch. Families are spending more time social networking and enjoying web-based digital media, so a highly portable tablet like the Acer A100 will let them get more done and stay connected on-the-go to enjoy their lives more fully,” said Sumit Agnihotry, vice president of product marketing, Acer America, in a statement.

Seems just maybe ok. It like Visio are reasonably priced for now. I prefer to wait as it will start driving other prices down. Its battery life is likely not whats claimed. It needs a removable battery just like most laptops and phones.
