HTC’s decision has come about its bootloader policy and as you have already read in the headline company has announced that it will not lock the bootloaders going forward. This is the best news for all the Android enthusiasts as well the developer community.

The statement came out today on company Facebook page and did not have more details. We are expecting that company will give a way to unlock the previously released devices too including HTC Sensation, which have been released with bootloader locked.

Full Statement from HTC:

“There has been overwhelmingly customer feedback that people want access to open bootloaders on HTC phones. I want you to know that we’ve listened. Today, I’m confirming we will no longer be locking the bootloaders on our devices. Thanks for your passion, support and patience”
