Verizon Droid X2 announced, available online starting tomorrow

Advertisements

As we reported earlier, Motorola today made Droid X2 official. This Droid X successor bears significant improvements over the original version, but also features a major downer in the form of FroYo. Seriously, how can Motorola even think of launching this smartphone with Android 2.2 on-board?

Considering Motorola’s track record with updates, I wouldn’t even go near this one. Anyways coming back to the release, Droid X2 will be available starting May 19 online and in store from May 26. It has been priced at the usual $199.99 with a new two-year customer agreement.

It will be the first smartphone with 1 GHz dual core processor with Verizon. Other features include a 4.3-inch scratch-resistant and anti-reflective qHD display, and 8-megapixel camera.
