Looks like we can finally settle the name debate for next Android version. Often confused between Ice Cream and Ice Cream Sandwich, Googler “Romain Guy’s” post on Google Code issue has put it to rest by publically naming it – Ice Cream Sandwich.
Ice Cream Sandwich is expected bring Honeycomb goodness to phones along with several other tweaks.
Android Version Name History:
- 1.5 – Cupcake
- 1.6 – Donut
- 2.1 – Éclair
- 2.2 – Froyo
- 2.3 – Gingerbread
- 3.0 – Honeycomb
- 3.1 – Ice Cream Sandwich [Expected]
Can’t they think of a better name ?
Next they will come up with a name such as “The dog bit my nut”
