In the bid to popularize its recently launched Amazon Appstore, Amazon is running a short term promotion. Amazon is giving a giftcard worth $25 at Amazon’s Android Appstore with any Verizon Android handsets/tablets purchased through AmazonWireless from today till 11:59 pm on May 1^st.

So, if you are planning to buy a Verizon Android smartphones/tablet, Amazon might be the right place.

Amazon Appstore for Android currently boasts some 7,500 apps and the number is increasing with every passing day.
