Remember the recently revealed Android Walkman phone from Sony Ericsson – W8. SE W8 is in a way remodeled Xperia X8, and the specifications of both the phones are pretty much same.  According to a report in The Mobile Indian, Sony Ericsson is planning to launch W8 in the Indian market next month. While the pricing hasn’t been announced, it is expected to be in the vicinity of INR 12K.

Sony Ericsson W8 features Android 2.1, Qualcomm MSM 2772 600 MHz processor, 3 inch display, 128 MB internal memory with microSD card support upto 16GB and 3.2 MP camera.

“The Sony Ericsson W8 Walkman phone combines Walkman functionality with smartphone fundamentals such as apps, maps and email to create the most entertaining smartphones,” said Pawan Chadha, Country Head, Sony Ericsson India, in a statement.

It would be interesting to see if company bundles some songs/Bollywood content with the device or at least a free 8GB sd card considering the low internal memory.
