LG Optimus Big, Samsung Galaxy Gio launched in Korea

LG and Samsung have launched two Android devices in their home country. While LG Optimus Big is targeted to high-end smartphone buyers, Samsung Galaxy Gio will attract mid-range consumers.

Samsung Galaxy Gio is already available in the market for a price 500,000 Won [INR 20,500]. It features Android 2.2 Froyo, 800Mhz CPU, 3.2 inch display, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi, DMB TV tuner, 3MP camera and 1350mAh battery.

On the other hand, LG Optimus Big aka LU6800 will be available on LG U+ starting April 28, while the pre-orders have started today. It comes with Android 2.2 Froyo, 4.3-inch NOVA display , 1GHz dual-core CPU, 16GB memory, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, 5 MP camera with auto-focus,  and  1,500mAh battery.

LG U+ is offering a Smart 55 plan with Optimus Big for 55,000 Won per month and 300 minutes of free call, 300 free SMS and real unlimited data plan.
