Samsung Galaxy S 2011 EditionSamsung Russia has officially launched another Android smartphone in the country. Dubbed as Galaxy S 2011 Edition, this phone brings a series of improvements from original Galaxy S.

Samsung has upgraded the processor from 1 GHz to 1.4 Ghz, and it comes pre-loaded with Android 2.3. Other specifications are pretty much same apart from battery, which is similar to Galaxy SL at 1650 mAh.

Samsung Galaxy S 2011 Edition will be available in Russian market starting May this year at an estimated retail price of 21,990 rubles [34,432.50 Indian rupees].

There is no word if this Samsung Galaxy S variant will be available in other markets too.  With Galaxy SL and successor Galaxy S2, this is the third variant of Galaxy S.

Samsung is trying to reap much successful brand name in Galaxy S, which sold over 10 million devices across the world.
