Samsung launches Galaxy Player 4, Galaxy Player 5 in US

Samsung today announced the launch of Galaxy Player 4 & 5 in United States. Powered by Android 2.2, both the devices will get the Gingerbread update.

“Our new Galaxy Players deliver that same experience in two terrific, ultra-portable form factors – without incurring fees for a monthly data plan,” explained Tim Baxter, President, Consumer Business Division at Samsung Electronics America.

Galaxy Players comes with Qik for VoIP calls over a WiFi connection; Skype will also be pre-loaded on the 4” model.  Company has not announced the prices or availability information right now.
