Motorola announces Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi for US; available from March 27

Motorola today finally unveiled the Wi-Fi only version of its Honeycomb powered tablet Xoom in United States. Xoom Wi-Fi will be available from leading retailers across US starting March 27.

Amazon.com, Best Buy, Costco, RadioShack, Sam’s Club (select locations), Staples and Walmart will be offering the 10.1-inch widescreen HD tablet with Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) through both online and retail store channels. Company has priced the tablet at $599 for 32 GB version.

Motorola Xoom is the first Android tablet with Honeycomb; it features 10.1-inch widescreen HD display, 1GHz dual-core processor, and 1 GB of RAM. Other specs include 2-megapixel front camera for video chats, a rear-facing 5-megapixel camera that captures video in 720p HD, built-in gyroscope, barometer, e-compass, and accelerometer.
