HTC Desire HD, Desire Z getting software update in India

HTC Desire HD and Desire Z are getting an OTA update to improve system performance and provide camera feature enhancements. The update build no. 1.84.720.3 [Desire HD], 1.82.720.1 [Desire Z] are rolling out now to the users.

Your phone will receive a notification of FOTA update when it is made available. Simply press OK to accept the update via a data connection such as Wi-Fi or GPRS/3G.

I updated it yesterday night, after the reboot the touch screen is not responding!! Even went to recovery mode and did a factory reset, still not working :((

Checked for it manually, it was there..

Animations definitely seems smooth but overall not much has changed. Even camera is the same as previous.

What is the threat to my personal data with an OTA update? Even HTC recommends backing up. So what exactly are we talking about? Contacts. Smses, pics, music, everything?

Hi Guys! I am still not seeing the update even after trying to update manually… It says my phone is up to date…
Is it because I bought the phone in the UK?? Any ideas??

updated successfully …….the mobile poped up an automatic message saying that system update is available…..camera gets focused quicker than earlier….youtube and facebook has also been changed(better)….and screen got more sharper and brighter…
