MTS launches its first Android phone MTS Pulse in India

Advertisements

MTS has finally launched its long rumored first Android smartphone in India. Dubbed as MTS Pulse, it is a rebranded HTC Hero, which was launched in United States as Droid Eris on Verizon.

Telecom operator is selling the smartphone for free on a one year agreement with INR 1500 postpaid plan. The plan comes with 1500 minutes, 1500 SMSs & 1500 MB data usage every month for 12 months. You can also buy the phone without any plan for INR 18,000.

MTS Pulse comes with Android 2.1 on-board, as HTC Hero never received Froyo, we are skeptical that even Pulse will never get an update.

@harsha Yes, it has HTC Sense be cause it is rebranded HTC Hero. We did not have a hi-res photo of MTS Pulse, so we used Droid Eris, it is the exact same model.
