HTC Merge available on pre-order in India for INR 35000

HTC’s recently announced Android CDMA world phone is soon going to land in India. The smartphone is currently available on pre-order on online retailer LetsBuy for INR 35000. The official launch is expected in the last week of March or first week of April.

HTC Merge is not available in any country right now, but it is scheduled to arrive on several North American telecom carriers including Verizon.

Coming to the smartphone, Merge features Android 2.2 Froyo with  HTC Sense user interface, CDMA/GSM hybrid [CDMA with global 3G roaming support], slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3.8″ 480×800 resolution display, 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash and 720p video recording.

You can place an order for HTC Merge right now by just paying the token amount of INR 1000; rest of it can be paid at the time of delivery.

How is this any different than an Desire Z [except for the CDMA world chip].
