Motorola buys Android security software firm 3LM

Advertisements

Motorola has acquired a small developer firm working on Android security software. This startup named 3LM was founded by ex-Googlers who were on Android team.

This move is being seen as a step from Motorola to make its Android devices more enterprise friendly.

3LM has already signed a couple of deals to provide its technology to several other device makers. These pacts are likely to be announced soon.

3LM develops software designed to make phones running Android as secure as BlackBerrys to make them more viable as enterprise-class smartphones, said co-founder Tom Moss.
