Finally, a high end Android CDMA phone will be available in India. Samsung will soon launch a CDMA Version of Galaxy S aka Galaxy I500.

Samsung Galaxy I500 features Android 2.1 [no word on FroYo update], 4 inch Super AMOLED display, CDMA 1X and EVDO Rev. A support, 5 MP camera, 2 GB Internal Memory, and 1500 mAH battery.

Galaxy I500 shares the same model number with Verizon Samsung Fascinate and US Cellular Samsung Mesmerize. Both these devices are still awaiting their FroYo update, which means Indian users will also have to wait for it.

Samsung or RCOM are yet to announce the pricing or availability details.

To remind you, RCom has one more Android smartphone in its portfolio – Galaxy I899, which was launched last year.
