Two Taiwan based OEMs Foxcomm and Cheng Uei Precision Industry have confirmed that they are working on GSM/WiMAX dual-mode smartphones running on Android.
While there is word on which telecom operator will be carrying these smartphones, five Taiwanese WiMAX operators along with Malaysia`s Packet One and WSL have shown intense interest in these WiMax devices.
Apart from these two OEMs, only HTC makes WiMax phones in Taiwan.
