Verizon will be launching a series of several LTE Android smartphones at Consumer Electronics Show this week. These smartphones are being manufactured by Samsung, Motorola, HTC and LG. One LTE tablet is also expected to be showcased at CES, reported WSJ recently.

Verizon has already teased via Twitter in this regard in a coded tweet.  These LTE smartphones will not available until later in the year, but telecom operator wants to generate interest and which place can be better than CES to create media hype.

Apart from these phones, Verizon also plans to show off applications specifically designed for the faster network, including more video services and multiplayer online gaming.
