HTC to launch first LTE Android phone next year in US

In an interview with Mobile World Live, HTC CEO Peter Chou said that the company is planning to launch first LTE smartphone next year.  “We think that the US mobile operators will be taking the lead and pushing 4G LTE in the US market… We are working on LTE devices for next year,” Chou said.

While there is not clear time-line on the products, but expect them in the second half of the next year. Both Verizon and AT&T are trying to go big on LTE roll out next year. So, at least one of them will carry an Android LTE smartphone from HTC. Probably – the leaked HTC Mecha ??
