After installing the update, you can confirm a successful update by confirming the Build number (From the Home Screen go to MENU> Settings> About Phone> Software Information> Build number). The new Build number after the update will be 3.15.720.3.
The new update brings FroYo and updated HTC Sense. Back up your data before upgrading your phone. Do share your experiences with us after update.

Hi, I havent received the OTA yet.. one of my friend did but he is in the Middle East, is it already available in India?? 🙁

YEah now it is available in INDIA ….go to MENU> Settings> About Phone > System software updates. and then click on Check now.

Checked for the update after reading this post, so thanks guys(androidos.in) to keep us informed. It took abt 30 min to download and install, thankfully it went alright, and now I have the 2.2 Froyo, yipee!!!!
Although I guess lot of the apps that I have dont seem to have the install to sd option. Its there for the google apps and a few others only.
After installation the phone is very slow n not respond sometime…
yea phone is slow now, also scrolling of applications in launcher is bit laggy. But live wallpapers and wifi hotspot is cool.
