LG Optimus One to get Android 2.3 Gingerbread update

After lots of confusion and statements, LG has finally announced that it will be updating all the Optimus One Series smartphone to Android 2.3.

LG has launched several versions of Optimus One in United States market, while in other countries it has been launched as Optimus One only. So, all the versions of Optimus One will get Gingerbread update. Company will be announcing the update in due course. Find the full statement below:

LG will upgrade all Optimus One smartphones currently using the Froyo OS to the next version of the Android OS, Gingerbread. Details of the upgrade schedule will be announced locally in due course. We sincerely apologize for the confusion and misunderstanding that was caused regarding this issue.

hey i have got lg optimus one just few days back ………can i go to the lg store and they will update my phone to 2.3,,,,,,,,,,,and when will that day come (in india).
