Motorola launches Defy with Telstra in Australia [Update]

Motorola Australia today launched its rugged Android smartphone Defy in the country with Telstra. It will be available starting November 30 on $49 cap with $0 upfront.

Motorola Defy will come with Android 2.1 on-board, while other specifications include a 3.7-inch touchscreen and 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, flash and OMAP 3610 chip running at 800MHz.

The USP of Defy is that its dust proof, water resistant, and has a scratch proof glass screen.

Update: The outright price of the Motorola Defy is $600 and it will be exclusive to Telstra for 3 months.
