The dual mode GSM/CDMA Android 2.2 smartphone Droid 2 Global is now available from Verizon.  It is selling for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and subject to the usual two-year contractual commitment.

Droid 2 Global comes with 3.7″ WVGA Touch screen Display [854 x 480 pixels], Slide–Out QWERTY Keyboard, 5.0MP camera, Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS with Motorola Application Platform, TI OMAP 1.2GHz processor with Dedicated GPU, Full document viewing and editing via Quickoffice, Unified Google Calendar & Corporate Calendar (supports Exchange 2003, 2007, and 2010 protocol), Global Address Lookup and Enhanced Enterprise Features and several other features.
