The app will be free on the Galaxy Tab for two months in deals struck with most mobile carriers. After that, users will be able to subscribe to get the app for $8.99 a month, or a six-month subscription for $36.99.
“It’s very good distribution for us,” The Australian’s deputy chief executive Nick Leeder said. “The people who are likely to be buying these devices are going to be a natural fit for The Australian.”
