Samsung Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra detailed ahead of January 2024 launch

Each year, Samsung unveils a new set of Galaxy S-series phones. So, we have always known that 2024 will bring the Galaxy S24 series. But before the company could officially unveil the new lineup, most details about the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra have shown up online thanks to prominent leaker Evan Blass, aka @evleaks, including Samsung Galaxy S24 launch date.

Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra specifications

According to details shared by Blass, there will be quite a few tweaks in the Galaxy S24 lineup over the Galaxy S23 series. For example, Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ are getting 0.1-inch bigger screens. To power these bigger screens, Samsung has also increased the battery capacity to 4,000mAh in the S24 and to 4,900mAh in the S24+. This is not a huge increase, but it is good to see any sort of battery upgrade. The peak brightness is also being increased to a massive 2600 nits.

In other upgrades, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will now use a titanium body instead of aluminum, which will still be present on the Galaxy S24 and the Plus models. Similarly, the S24+ will have 12GB RAM as default, up from 8GB in the S23+.

But the primary camera resolution is exactly the same as the last generation. This means the S24 and S24+ get a 50MP primary shooter, and the Ultra model gets a 200MP primary camera.

Moreover, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will power all three phones, which isn’t surprising, and will carry an IP68 rating. The fast-charging support is also expected to remain the same as the current generation.

Samsung Gauss AI

Samsung has officially revealed the first details about its AI that will make its way to the Galaxy S24-series phone. Dubbed Samsung Gauss, it was unveiled at the company’s AI Forum in Seoul. According to a report by Korea Times, the Gauss AI will be built into the Galaxy S24 phones, and it will enable device owners to summarize sentences, correct grammar, and conduct various tasks easily without sending their personal information.
