HMD Global is getting ready to unveil its next Nokia smartphone in the Indian market. The company on Thursday sent out invites for a press event on September 26 in New Delhi, where it is expected to launch the Nokia 8 for India.

The pricing is a mystery at this point but it is likely to get a price-tag around INR 45,000 in the country.

About Nokia 8

Originally introduced in August, the Nokia 8 is the current flagship smartphone in HMD’s portfolio. The phone sports a 5.3-inch 2560x1440p QHD IPS screen and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.

For the imaging needs, the Nokia 8 packs dual camera setup on the back with a 13-megapixel colour sensor and a 13-megapixel monochrome sensor. Additionally, the phone includes a 13-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera.

Among other specifications, you will get 4-gigabytes of RAM, 64-gigabytes of internal storage, microSD card slot and 3090 mAh battery. The phone runs on Android 7.1.1, but HMD Global has already promised to provide Android Oreo update for the phone.
