The Wall Street Journal recently carried a report – India’s Micromax Churns Out Phones Like Fast Fashion, and in this report Micromax CEO Vineet Taneja was quoted saying that they had better turnaround time than any other company. Looks like, in the quick turnaround, the company sometimes jumps a few product names and by the time they realise it, the new phone is already in the market. The same seems to be happening with the Canvas Fire 3.
Eight months after the launch of Micromax Canvas Fire A104 aka Fire 2, the smartphone vendor had launched the Canvas Fire 4 in the country. At that time, nobody knew what had happened with Fire 3, but now it looks like that the company executives had simply forgotten the Fire 3 and they have decided to rectify the mistake.
The new Canvas Fire 3 was recently listed on the company’s website, and is now available from almost all major e-retailers and physical stores for as low as INR 5,919.
The specifications of the smartphone are pretty ordinary, which is expected given the affordable price-tag. It packs a 4.5-inch qHD IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3, Android 4.4.2 KitKat, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, and 1850 mAh battery.
It also comes with 5MP rear camera autofocus rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front shooter with LED flash, 1GB of RAM, and dual front-firing speakers. You will also get dual-SIM support, 3G, 8GB of on-board storage and microSD slot on Canvas Fire 3.
