Lenovo on Monday introduced its new ThinkCentre Chromebox line-up for education and small business users. The first device in this line-up is the company’s ThinkCentre Chromebox Tiny, a small Chromebox, which will go on sale beginning June in the US at $199.
According to the company, the Chromebox Tiny is also compatible with the company’s previously launched ThinkCentre Tiny-in-One set-up. So, if you already own a Tiny-in-One, you can simply swap your existing Tiny box with the Chromebox Tiny and get a Chrome OS-powered All-in-One within seconds. You can always use the Chromebox Tiny with your own display and keyboard.
“Lenovo was the first to introduce a one litre commercial desktop and ThinkCentre Chromebox is a testament to our commitment to the continued evolution of the desktop and our promise to push the boundaries on innovation for our education and business customers. Combined with the ThinkCentre Tiny-in-One, the new Chromebox illustrates our belief in more flexibility for teachers and IT managers to continue to offer desktop solutions in a modern day environment,” said Ouyang Jun, vice president and general manager, Desktop and Visuals, Lenovo.
The company has not shared the details like the RAM or processor, but we do know that Chromebox Tiny will come with four USB 3.0 port, HDMI Out, DisplayPort, Ethernet and Headphone/Microphone combo jack.
