Lenovo A7000 India launch on April 7

Lenovo A7000Chinese smartphone maker Lenovo is all set to introduce the A7000 smartphone in the Indian market. Originally unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2015, the Lenovo A7000 is the first smartphone to come with Dolby Atmos audio enhancements.

The company on Wednesday started sending out invites for a press event on April 7, where it is likely to introduce the A7000 for the country. As you can expect, the pricing and availability details are a mystery at this point, however I believe the A7000 will retail at INR 9,999 in the country.

Like the A6000, A7000 is also expected to be offered via flash sales on Flipkart.com. The first flash sale is likely to happen on April 15.

To remind you, Lenovo A7000 smartphone features a 5.5-inch 720p HD IPS display, 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752M processor, 2GB of RAM and Android 5.0 with Vibe UI. The phone also packs 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, and 2900 mAh battery.

On the imaging front, Lenovo has included 8MP rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash as well as a 5MP fixed-focus front shooter in the A7000. It will compete with the likes of Honor 4X, Yu Yureka, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G.

Are you waiting for the phone? Let us know in the comments section.

    • have used my uncle’s lenovo A-series, the UI is a disaster. despite having good h/w the launcher is quite slow. lenovo seriously have to redesign or drop (not possible) the UI starting with Android 5.x branch.

    • I brought the A536 for dad and I agree the UI was a sham, if i would have seen it I woundnt have brought. it. I rather like UI of Asus, much neat and clean. If only while selling these companies would share how the UI looks.
