Taiwanese manufacturer Acer has announced that it is expanding its Chromebox CXI line-up with two new models. The new Chromebox models are powered by latest-generation Intel Core-i3 4030U dual-core processors, instead of the Celeron, which is usually present in the Chrome OS devices. The company has also increased the available RAM options to 8GB.
“We’ve extended our Chromebox CXI line with new models featuring enhanced processing power and memory for users with more demanding computing requirements. A win/win for users and IT staff, the Chromebox CXI devices are easy to use and deploy, highly secure and save significant desk space,” said Leila Axelle-Robert, Acer America senior business manager.
In terms of the features, the new Chromebox CXI models supports both 2K (2048 x 1536) and 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution displays and come with 16GB SSD, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Ethernet as well as four USB 3.0 ports. The devices also pack SD card slot, HDMI and DisplayPort.
