Huawei and Acer on Sunday expanded their wearables line-up with new smartbands. Huawei has unveiled the new TalkBand B2, while Acer has taken the wraps off Liquid Leap+.
Talking about the Huawei Talkband B2 first, which like the original works both as a fitness tracker as well as Bluetooth headset. It will be released in Black, Silver and Gold colour options and the standard version will cost 169 euros, while the premium variant will be priced at 199 euros.
The B2 includes two main parts – Bluetooth headset, which also sports a 0.73-inch P-AMOLED touchscreen and the wrist band with dock. The smartband packs 6-axis motion sensor, accelerometer as well as gyroscope, which will allow it to track more fitness data than the last-generation. It is water and dust-resistant and the plastic strap version is IP57 rated, whereas the leather version is IP54 rated.
According to Huawei, TalkBand B2 can be paired with more than one device at a time and learns from the user movements and activities to better measure the health and fitness data.
Coming to Acer Liquid Leap+, which is the successor to the company’s Liquid Leap, the smartband sports a 1-inch OLED touchscreen and not only tracks the fitness data, but also display notifications from the paired smartphone and lets users to control music playback.
Like Huawei’s TalkBand B2, Leap+ is also waterproof and track host of fitness and health-related data. It will be available for 79 euros later this month in select EMEA markets in Charcoal Black, Fuchsia Pink and Lime Green colour options.
