Acer has begun its Mobile World Congress 2015 journey with the announcement of three brand new smartphones – Liquid Z220, Liquid Z520 and Liquid Jade Z. The phones will go on sale in select European markets later this month. There is no word on the availability in the Asian markets.
Coming to the smartphones, Acer’s new Liquid Z220 packs a 4-inch WVGA display, dual-SIM support and 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It will also come with 5MP rear camera, 2MP front shooter, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. It will be the company’s first smartphone with Android 5.0 on-board.
Acer Liquid Z220 will retail for 89 euros.
Acer Liquid Z520, on the other hand, comes with a 5-inch display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 8MP rear camera. It also packs 1GB of RAM, 2MP front shooter, dual-SIM support and microSD card slot. It run on Android 4.4 and there is no word on the Android 5.0 update.
Liquid Z520 has been priced at 106 euros.
Lastly, the new Liquid Jade Z sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 and is powered by 64-bit 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek processor. It also includes 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 2300 mAh battery and dual-SIM support. In addition, the phone will feature 13MP f1.8 rear camera, 5MP front shooter and Android 4.4 (update to Android 5.0 later this year).
Jade Z will retail for 199 euros.
