Sony has announced that the steel-edition of the SmartWatch 3 will go on sale this week in markets across the globe. There is still no word on the pricing, which will be revealed by the local units of the company.
Originally introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show 2015 last month, the stainless steel SmartWatch 3 is same as the plastic variant apart from the steel frame and strap. It features 1.6-inch 320x20p Transflective display, Android Wear, built-in microphone, accelerometer, compass, gyroscope and GPS. The smartwatch is also waterproof.
The company has also revealed that the SmartWatch 3 “holder” kit will be available in the coming weeks. This holder kit will allow the consumers to use any 24mm watch strap with SmartWatch, not just the official ones provided by Sony.
