Lenovo introduces A6000 smartphone for $169, coming to India via Flipkart

Lenovo earlier today unveiled its A6000 smartphone at the ongoing CES 2015 trade fair. It is the international variant of the company’s K3 smartphone, which was launched in China last month. Lenovo revealed at the CES introduction of the A6000 that the phone will be released in the Indian market soon via its online retail partner Flipkart.

The company hasn’t shared the final price-tag of the smartphone for the country, but stated that it will retail under INR 10,000, which is close to the international pricing of the phone – $169 (INR 10681).

Coming to the smartphone, Lenovo A6000 features a 5-inch 1280x720p HD IPS display, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and Android 4.4 with Vibe UI 2.0. The phone also comes with 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front shooter and 2300 mAh battery.

In addition, Lenovo has included dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 4G LTE connectivity in the phone.

It will compete with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 4G, Yu Yureka, and Moto G in the country.
