Alcatel OneTouch PIXI 3 phones can run Android, Windows or Firefox OS

Alcatel OneTouch today announced its new product line-up, which it will be showcasing at the CES 2015 next week in Las Vegas. The line-up included a pretty unique smartphone-series in the form of PIXI 3, which is OS-agnostic and can run Android, Windows or Firefox OS.

“Our users do not want complicated systems — they want something familiar from their work environment in the office, but also on a smartphone,” said Alcatel OneTouch Chief Marketing Officer Dan Dery.

The company has not shared many details at this point, but from what we know so far, PIXI 3 will come in 3.5-inch, 4-inch, 4.5-inch and 5-inch display sizes. While 4-inch, 4.5-inch and 5-inch models will have both 3G and 4G LTE connectivity, 3.5-inch PIXI 3 will only support 3G.

We hope to hear more from the company when the CES 2015 is officially open, but a smartphone, which can run an OS of user’s choice is an enticing option.
