Flipboard has announced that it is adding Topics support for India and UK users of the application. Originally introduced in October, 2014, Flipboard Topics allow the consumers to easily follow news and views from hundreds of sources that are available on the application. The Topics had been available only to US and Canada users until now.

Flipboard has also revealed that it is adding several topics tailored to the local life and culture of the two new countries like Parliament, Lok Sabha, Royal baby, Indian Premier League, India Food etc.

“If you’re using the UK or India version of Flipboard, you’ll be asked to select topics via the new topic picker which you’ll get after updating your Flipboard. You can also search to find a topic or tap on topic tags shown on articles. It’s easy to follow any topic: tap the “follow” button to have stories from that topic—and from magazines the Flipboard community is curating about that topic—added to your Flipboard,” explainded Flipboard on its official blog.

To remind you, Flipboard Topics use technology from Zite, which was acquired by the company in March last year.
