Xiaomi has announced that it will be offering the Redmi Note 4G smartphone without any flash sale this Republic Day weekend (Jan 24- Jan 26). As always, the phone will be available at Flipkart.com for INR 9,999.
This is not the first time, Xiaomi is offering one of its smartphones without the usual flash sales method, but it is a rare opportunity to avoid the whole mess of registrations. This weekend, the consumers will be able to buy the smartphone like any other product on Flipkart.
To remind you, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G features a 5.5-inch HD IPS display, Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, 4G LTE support and 2GB of RAM. The phone also packs 13MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and 3100 mAh battery. The phone runs on Android 4.4.2 with MIUI v5.

I’m in the market for a similarly priced device and this is oh so tempting, but maybe I’ll just wait awhile for an Android One powered Snapdragon 615, 5.5″ HD/FHD, LTE device from Asus/Lenovo/Acer/HTC and see how that stacks up in terms of price and hardware specs (hopefully with 16GB in-built storage as well) before making a final call. *thinking*
