Samsung unveils Galaxy Grand Max in S Korea; Galaxy A7 showcased in Malaysia

Samsung Galaxy Grand MaxSamsung might not have unveiled any new smartphones at the ongoing CES 2015 trade fair in Las Vegas, but that has stopped the company from introducing new devices in other parts of the world. The company on Thursday took the wraps off the new Galaxy Grand Max smartphone in its South Korea. The phone will go on sale beginning January 9 in the country for 319,000 won ($290).

Featuring a 7.9mm thick chassis and new quilted pattern on the back, the new Grand Max comes with 5.25-inch HD display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM and 2500 mAh battery. The phone also packs 13MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter, 4G LTE support, 16GB of internal storage and microSD card slot.

According to Samsung, the phone will be initially available at the company’s online store, however it will also be released via an MVNO on a later date.

Galaxy A7 in Malaysia

The much-leaked Galaxy A7 smartphone has become official. The phone was showcased the Galaxy A-series launch event in Malaysia earlier today. It features a 5.5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, and 2600 mAh battery.Samsung Galaxy A7 in Malaysia

Other details are not available at this point, however Samsung has stated that it will go on sale in Malaysia later this month.
