Sony revealed during its CES 2015 press meet that it will begin the Android 5.0 Lollipop roll-out for Xperia Z3-series devices next month i.e. February. The company’s Xperia Z3 line-up includes devices like Sony Xperia Z3, Sony Xperia Z3 Dual, Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, and Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.
The company has not shared any other specifics at this point, but we hope to hear from Sony in the coming weeks.
Sony has earlier announced that it will bring the Lollipop update to entire Xperia Z line-up. Sony Z Ultra Google Play edition has already got the update. The company will now push the update for Xperia Z3-series, followed Xperia Z2 devices and then other Xperia Z-series smartphones and tablets. There is no word on whether M-series, E-series, C-series or T-series will get Android 5.0.
Cant’ wait. I love the Z3 Compact. I hope Sony has new icons for it’s apps too.
