A month after it began the Android 5.0 roll-out for G3 in Poland, LG has released the update in the Indian market. The update is now available via the LG Mobile Support Tool in the country and is expected to go live over-the-air in the next few days.
If you don’t already have LG Mobile Support Tool on your PC, you can download it from LG India website. The update process is quite simple. Just connect your smartphone to your PC, on which you have installed the support tool, using the USB cable. Then, open the LG Mobile Support Tool, it will recognise your phone and show the available update, download and apply it. If the tool doesn’t recognise your phone, make sure the drivers are installed properly. The official drivers can be found on the LG website (linked above).
The official change-log is not available at this moment, but you can expect to see UI improvements, enhanced notifications, ART as default runtime, battery-life improvements, and performance enhancements after the update.
If you already updated your G3 to Android 5.0, do let us know about the experience in the comments.
