Over a month after introducing the support for 13 Indian subcontinent languages in the Swiftkey Beta version, the company is finally bringing the support for 12 of these languages to the stable version. The thirteenth language “Urdu” is already being supported by Swiftkey.

The Indian subcontinent Android users can now grab the updated Swiftkey keyboard from Google Play for free and get typing in Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Nepali and Sinhala. With this update, Swiftkey now supports a total of 15 languages spoken in the region.

In addition to the new languages, the Swiftkey update also bring several improvements to the keyboard app like more responsive typing, lower keyboard open/ close time and faster switching between fields.
