HTC Desire 516Along with One (M8 Eye), Desire Eye, Desire 820 and Desire 820Q smartphones, HTC on Friday launched the Desire 516c smartphone as well as Re camera in the Indian market.

The new Desire 516c smartphone is a variant of the company’s previously released Desire 516. It comes with Android with Sense UI, dual-SIM (CDMA + GSM) support, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB of RAM and 5-inch qHD display. The phone also packs 4GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front shooter and 1950 mAh battery.

“HTC Desire 516C dual-SIM has been created for users who care for quality, features and a great value for money product. The latest addition inherits renowned HTC Desire range’s legacy of super-fast processing and premium features, at a lower price. This new exciting device will offer the best possible experience in its category,” said Chia-Lin Chang, President of Global Sales and Chief Financial Officer, HTC.

Coming to HTC Re, it is a small handheld camera, which features a 16MP sensor with a 146-degree wide-angle lens. Packed in a waterproof shell, HTC Re camera is capable of recording full HD videos, 120 fps slow-motion videos, time-lapse videos as well as Zoes.

HTC is hoping that Re camera will help the users in stepping out from behind the camera and enjoying the life as it happens. The camera includes just two buttons, one for image/ video capture and other for slow motion video. There is not even a power button present on the device and it utilizes the integrated grip sensor to detect whether someone is holding and it switches itself on.HTC Re cameraAccording to HTC, RE also supports remote viewfinder via the Re app on smartphones. The app is also used to transfer images from Re to the smartphones or tablets and also allows live-streaming of the video input from Re on YouTube.

Pricing and availability:

According to HTC, Desire 516c has been priced at INR 12,990. The Re camera, on the other hand, will be sold for INR 9,999 (promotional price). Both devices will be available exclusively via Snapdeal.com.
