Lava Xtron Z704Lava is back with a new Android tablet. The company on Wednesday introduced the new Xtron Z704 Android tablet in the Indian market. Part of the entry-level segment, the new tablet has been priced at INR 6,499 and will go on sale in the coming days.

As per a press release issued by the company, Lava is targeting the device to the students.

“We made Xtron Z704 tablet keeping in mind the needs of new age students who are shifting to the online platform to seek additional avenues of learning and are not restricting themselves just to books. They are smart students who constantly browse the internet for information and like using new age technology & products to make learning fun and practical. With all the latest features packed in this portable & pocket friendly tablet, we hope Xtron Z704 will be the perfect companion of such students,” said SN Rai, Co-Founder and Director, Lava International.

Coming to the specifics, Lava Xtron Z704 features a 7-inch 1024x600p display, 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8127 processor, 1GB of RAM and Android 4.4. The tablet also comes with 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 2MP rear camera and 0.3MP front shooter. The device also packs Wi-Fi, 2G EDGE connectivity, and 4000 mAh battery.

At this pricing, the tablet will be competing with the likes of Lenovo A7-30 and Asus FonePad 7 2014 in the country.
