With selfies so popular these days, every smartphone maker wants to capitalise on the buzz. We must have seen dozens of selfie-focussed smartphones so far and soon Samsung is joining the brigade with its new Galaxy Grand-series smartphone.
According to a report in a Vietnamese website, Samsung will launch the new Galaxy Grand Prime with a 5MP front shooter to cater to the selfie-generation. The phone has also appeared at a Vietnamese retailer, which has revealed the full specifications of the Grand Prime. The phone will reportedly come with a 5-inch qHD display, 1GB of RAM, 1.2GHz quad-core processor and Android 4.4.2. It will also pack 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 2600 mAh battery and dual-SIM support.
Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime is expected to launch next month in Vietnam with a price-tag of 4.99 million dongs ($235). There is no word on the release elsewhere but we expect an official announcement in the next few weeks, which should make the global launch details clear.
