Liquid Z500 smartphone in tow as well
Taiwanese manufacturer Acer on Wednesday unveiled two new Android tablets. Part of the company’s Iconia-series, the Iconia One 8 and Iconia Tab 10 tablets will be showcased at the IFA trade fair this week.
As the names suggest, Acer Iconia One 8 and Iconia Tab 10 are 8-inch and 10-inch tablets respectively. Talking about the One 8 first, the tablet is powered by Intel Atom Z3735G quad-core processor and packs a 1280x800p IPS display, and Android 4.4.
Full specifications are unclear at this point but the Iconia One 8 will be released in a total of ten colour options – Jade Green, Sunshine Yellow, Vivid Orange, Sky Blue, Essential White, Midnight Black, Fragrant Pink, Violet Purple, Mia Blue and Garnet Red – when it goes on sale next month i.e. October. It will be priced starting 149 euros.
Coming to Acer Iconia 10, the tablet features a 10.1-inch full HD IPS display, quad-core MediaTek processor, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and Android 4.4. In addition, the tablet includes 1GB of RAM, 16/ 32GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and Wi-Fi.
The tablet will go on sale this month for starting $199 (199 euros in Europe) in White and Black colour options.

In addition to the tablets, Acer has announced the new Liquid Z500 smartphone, which comes with 5-inch display, 8MP rear camera and Android 4.4. The smartphone will available in Europe starting September 15 for 149 euros.
