Xiaomi’s Asian roll-out of Redmi 1S smartphone is in full flow these days. Within days of announcing the impending release of Redmi 1S in India and Indonesia, the company on Thursday unveiled the smartphone in Philippines.
The smartphone will go on sale at noon, September 4 in the country, it is the same day Redmi 1S is going to be released in Indonesia. The consumers in Philippines will be able to buy the smartphone from Lazada. The phone has been priced at P5,599 ($128).
To remind you, Xiaomi Redmi 1S features a 4.7-inch HD 1280x720p IPS display, 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor and Android 4.3-based MIUI v5. The phone also comes with 8MP rear camera, 1.6MP front shooter and 2000 mAh battery.
In addition, Redmi 1S includes dual-SIM support, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
It is the second Xiaomi smartphone set to go on sale in Philippines, which has already got Mi 3. There is no word on the release of Redmi Note, Mi 4 or Mi Pad in the country.
