As suspected, LG’s new G3 Stylus smartphone is not a direct competitor to Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 4 smartphone. Officially announced on Tuesday, the phone is in fact a mid-range Android device with stylus support.
The smartphone features a 5.5-inch qHD display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and Android 4.4.2. The G3 Stylus also comes with 3000 mAh battery, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and G support. On the imaging front, LG has included 13MP rear camera and 1.3MP front shooter on the phone.
LG is also bundling majority of the software enhancements, which are present in G3, in the new G3 Stylus like QuickMemo+, Dual Window, Smart Keyboard, Touch & Shoot, Gesture Shot, and Knock Code.
“With its exceptional hardware and exceptional price that can’t be beat, the LG G3 Stylus is in a category all by itself. The LG G3 Stylus is the perfect tool for consumers who don’t want to be bogged down carrying a laptop, tablet and smartphone. It gets things done and lets you have fun while doing without having to compromise on quality, style or user experience,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
According to LG, the phone will go on sale next month starting with Brazil, then followed by Asia, Middle-East, Africa and CIS. The company has revealed the pricing but as stated by Jong-seok Park, the phone is expected to be aggressively priced.
